1. Who is responsible
The controller for the processing described here is the operator of TasmoShelf named in the Imprint. Questions and data-subject requests: hello@tasmoshelf.app.
2. The short version
TasmoShelf is a local-first app. Your devices, their addresses, names, readings and passwords are stored only on your phone. There is no TasmoShelf account, no TasmoShelf cloud, and the app contains no analytics or telemetry. Personal data is only processed for what a paid product genuinely needs: selling a licence, delivering it by email, answering your messages, and serving this website.
3. The app
The app talks to the Tasmota devices on your own network. Device passwords are kept in your phone's keychain. Two requests go to our own domain, both plain HTTPS downloads that carry no account, no device data and no identifiers beyond what any web request technically contains:
- a signed licence revocation list (
tasmoshelf.app/revoked.json), fetched at app start, so that leaked or refunded keys can be withdrawn; - on the Android direct-download version only, a version file
(
tasmoshelf.app/latest.json) when you open the settings, so the app can point out a newer build.
Both fail silently and never block the app. We keep no request logs for them; the site is served by Cloudflare (see section 6).
4. Buying a licence (Android direct download)
Licences are sold by Polar.sh as Merchant of Record. Polar processes the data a purchase needs (name, email, country, payment and VAT details) under its own terms. We receive your email address and purchase confirmation, and use them to generate your licence key and send it to you. The email is delivered through Resend, with mail processed in the EU. The licence key itself contains your email address and purchase details; it is stored on your phone and verified there, offline โ there is no activation server.
5. Buying in the iOS app
The iOS unlock is a one-time in-app purchase processed entirely by Apple. We receive no personal data from it; the purchase is verified on the phone.
6. This website
tasmoshelf.app is served through Cloudflare. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads no fonts, scripts or images from third parties. Like every web server, Cloudflare technically processes your IP address to deliver the pages; we do not evaluate access data.
7. Email
If you write to us, we process your address and message to answer you, and keep the correspondence as long as needed for that purpose.
8. Your rights
Under the Swiss Data Protection Act and, where it applies, the GDPR you can request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, and object to processing. Write to hello@tasmoshelf.app. You can also complain to a data-protection authority.
9. Changes
We will update this policy when the product or the law changes; the date above tells you the current version.
